Wield Bible
God’s word, the Bible, with sharp tools to wield it.
Study the trusted and true Word of God, from daily reading to a close analysis of the text, with the original languages and visual analysis features at hand. Wield Bible is in final preparation; a test version is open to approved testers.
What Wield Bible does
Reading
The tested and stable text of Scripture in English, laid out for reading. Choose your font, size and theme, from parchment to night; scroll straight on from chapter to chapter or turn pages like a book; clear the screen to read without distraction, or have it read aloud. Rest on any word to see what it means.
Hebrew and Greek
The Hebrew Old Testament and the Textus Receptus in Scrivener’s 1894 and Stephanus’s 1550 editions: under each verse, side by side, or word by word, with Strong’s and Abbott-Smith. Advanced analytic tools follow each Hebrew and Greek word through the whole Bible.
Search
Phrases, AND, OR and NOT, words near each other, Strong’s numbers, and the Hebrew and Greek themselves. A concordance and word statistics show where every word is used, and advanced analytic views and charts show how words and themes run through the Bible.
A library that stays with the text
Matthew Henry, John Gill, Albert Barnes, Adam Clarke, John Wesley, and Jamieson, Fausset and Brown; Spurgeon on the Psalms; Easton’s, Smith’s and Webster’s 1828; Nave’s and Torrey’s topical Bibles; the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. Each follows the verse you are reading. Josephus, Edersheim, Foxe, Bunyan, Ussher’s Annals, Doré’s engravings and the old hymns are on the shelf too.
Maps
An interactive map system built from the ground up for the Bible, that follows your reading: the Bible lands in each period, with journeys, battles, kingdoms and borders, and Jerusalem through the centuries. Draw your own map overlays as you study.
Study, teach and preach
Notes, highlights, collections, memory verses and reading plans, kept in step on all your devices. Innovative lesson and sermon preparation tools, and a presenter view to deliver them.
The test version runs in a web browser, online or offline. Versions for Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android are being prepared.
